When we come together for corporate worship on a Sunday morning, our greatest desire is to celebrate and worship our God. When we worship Him authentically, the other aspects of coming together happen naturally--mutual encouragement, instruction and inspiration from God's Word, and connecting with those who are new to our church community.
Bloom is a ministry for women at The Ridge that encourages women of all ages to seek God, through His Word. Bloom Bible studies are offered on an every other week basis. We have done studies with Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and books of the Bible. It is the goal of this ministry to seek after God, offer a place to encourage other women and "spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24). It is our prayer that this ministry becomes one of multiplication where women are reaching out to other women and spreading the knowledge of Him through words and actions.
Little Lights Nursery is for ages 2 and under. Our staff does a wonderful job of keeping your little ones safe while also teaching them about God's love through fun, hands-on activities. They're in good hands while you're in the worship service!
Camp Discovery is for kids age 3 through Kindergarten. This is a high-energy age, so our teachers have high-energy lessons and activities to point our kids to Christ. Your kids won't want to miss a Sunday!
Exploration Station is our 1st-5th grade ministry. Kids this age get to stay in the worship service for the first half, and then come back for their lesson and activities during the sermon. That way, they have time to worship with their families, yet are also able to build friendships and enjoy lessons that are suited to their age.
About Us
180 is about experiencing God. 180 is a place where any student in 6th to 12th grade can come just as they are and feel loved and accepted. We get together to share in the amazing spiritual journey that God has for each student. We learn from God’s word, serve together in our community, create positive and deep relationships with others, and experience the power and goodness of God. We are all about four BIG challenges: Loving, Serving, Connecting,Worshiping.
Our Mission:
To Experience God
Our Vision at The Ridge:
To Worship God by Living a life that is pleasing to Him in our words, our actions and what is in our hearts.
To Reach friends and people in our lives by loving & serving them as Christ would.
To Point our friends to Jesus Christ by what we do & say, by inviting them to church & 180 activities, and by sharing Christ's love with them.
To Connect with other believers and share in the awesome journey that God has for each student.
Reaching Youth: A message from Youth Leader David Cota
Parents, I would like to you take a minute to think back to your Jr. High and High School days. I know this could be scary for some of you, but it's important to try to remember what was important to you in Jr. High and High School. I personally believe that what is important to most Jr. High and High School age students can be summarized with what I call the “Four F's”:
Friends
Food
Fun
Family
These “Four Fs” are what's important to your kids right now and God realizes that as well. It's important to from time to time put yourself back at that age and to remember the challenges as well as what made an impact on your life.
I believe that 8 years in High School and College are the most critical years for most students in their relationships with Jesus Christ. These 8 years are where a student sets his or her course for life. That course can be a good one or it can be one that leads to heartache and even destruction for some youth. It is so important that the youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ sand that they learn to listen for His direction and guidance in their lives.
Life Groups are groups of adults that meet in people's homes for Bible study, to build friendships, and to foster a community of care for one another. We have groups meeting most nights of the week and groups vary in their frequency of gatherings.
Rather than just "doing church," we want to "be the church." Christ called His followers to serve others as He did. Therefore, we desire to serve others in our daily lives, to serve in partnership with area ministries that aid those in need, and to serve our community in practical ways that point them to Christ.
We are all made for community. We need interaction with others. So, having various events and activities where we can simply share life is very important. Whether it's a sport league, summer camp, church retreat, or special event, share your life ith others who care and encourage.
